The candidate portal gives candidates a space to view their applications and manage their data within occy. Candidates can access the candidate portal using the link provided in the footer of all emails sent to them.
The portal gives candidates more control over their data, allowing them to withdraw from specific roles or opt to remove their data from occy entirely.
How do Candidates Access the Candidate Portal?
When a candidate is added to occy, either through an application or manually, they can access the candidate portal via the link provided in the footer of all emails.
Once the candidate clicks this link, they will be directed to the portal where they can create a password. These credentials can then be used for subsequent logins.
Managing Applications in the Candidate Portal
Once logged in, candidates will see a list of all job applications on occy associated with their email address. They will have the ability to withdraw any of these applications, which will result in the corresponding application being removed in occy.
If a candidate withdraws their application, then they will appear in the job workflow with the name ‘Candidate Withdrawn’. No further actions can be taken with the candidate except moving them to the Declined section.

Updating a Candidate Profile
Candidates will have access to their profile settings, where they can update the password associated with their account.
Note: Candidates can only change the password on their account; they can’t change the name and email address to ensure that there is no disruption to the application process.
Controlling Data
The portal also gives candidates the ability to access to exercise their right to be forgotten, without having to put in a request to occy or the hiring company.
In the Data & Privacy section, candidates can remove their data across all companies or individual companies. If candidates choose to delete all their data from occy, all associated data will be permanently removed, and the candidate will be required to create a new account should they apply for a job via occy in the future.
How Does a Candidate Profile Impact Occy Users?
Reduced Admin Tasks: The candidate portal aims to provide candidates with greater control over data management and, in turn, reduce administrative tasks for occy users by allowing candidates to delete their data and withdraw from roles directly.
Clear Messaging: If an occy user attempts to access a profile for a candidate whose data have been deleted, the system will display a clear validation message indicating the data is no longer available.
No Direct Communication Channel: The candidate portal does not give candidates the ability to communicate directly with the hiring team. If a candidate needs to communicate with a hiring company about an application, they will need to reply using the appropriate email from the hiring company.
