Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Modified on Fri, 29 Aug at 10:41 AM

Add an additional layer of security to your Occy account with multi-factor authentication (MFA).

Enabling MFA within your account activates an additional verification stage when logging in; users will be required to enter a code after the initial login steps, which will be sent to them via an authenticator app.

Take a look at the process in our demo or in the steps below.

Enabling MFA

  • Enable MFA in the Sign-in & Security section of your account by clicking Settings>My Account>Sign-in & Security.
  • Next, click the Enable Two-Factor Authentication button.

  • Then, click Use an Authenticator App and then Continue.

  • If you don’t have one already, download an authenticator app to your phone or tablet, such as Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
  • Next, scan the QR code on screen using your camera and enter the code provided by the authenticator app into the box in step 3 of the verification process in Occy.
  • Click Verify.

Note: For security reasons, the QR code will refresh every 60 seconds (a timer will appear on screen); the code generated by the app must be entered and verified within occy before the time is up. The process can be repeated if another attempt is needed.

Please Note: Enabling and disabling MFA will log the user out of the account and remove remembered devices; users will need to log back in to access the account.

Disabling MFA

Easily remove MFA using the toggle; you will be prompted to enter a code from the app to confirm the change and will be logged out of your account to implement the update.
