At occy, we appreciate that policies and compliance requirements are different for each industry and business; that’s why we allow our users to set a data retention period that works for them.
The Data Retention feature gives you the tools to match data storage timescale within occy to your company policy. Easily configure a data retention period to fit your business directly within your occy account in just a few clicks.
Setting the Data Retention Period
By default, the Occy data retention period is set to 36 months; after this time, all data stored during the retention period will be permanently deleted.
- Admin users can customise the amount of time data is stored within the system by navigating to Settings>Company>Data Management.
- From here, a custom data retention period can be chosen from the dropdown menu.
- To finalise changes, click Save.
Please Note: Once the data retention period has been decreased, it cannot be increased again; please make sure to confirm all company, industry, and legal requirements before changing the data retention period.
