Connecting a Careers Page to a Website

Once you have created your careers page, you can integrate the careers page URL link with your website to ensure candidates can see your latest vacancies when browsing your site.

Here’s a brief step-by-step guide on how to set up a URL redirection for the careers section of the website:

Step 1: Identify Your Web Hosting Service

First, you need to know where your website is hosted, as the redirection setup will depend on your hosting provider’s tools and options.

Step 2: Access Your Hosting Control Panel

Log in to your web hosting control panel. Common examples include cPanel, WordPress admin, or a custom control panel provided by your host.

Step 3: Locate the Redirection Tool

  • For cPanel, look for a section called Domains and find the Redirects option.
  • For WordPress, you can use a plugin like Redirection to manage URL redirects.

Step 4: Set Up the Redirect

  • Specify the URL to redirect: Enter the full URL of your careers page (e.g. http://www.yoursite.com/careers).
  • Specify the destination URL: Enter the URL where you want visitors to be redirected (e.g. http://newsite.com/careers).
  • Choose Redirect Type: Select whether the redirect should be temporary (302) or permanent (301). A 301 redirect is typically recommended for permanent changes, as it informs search engines that the page has moved permanently.

Careers Page Advanced Search

occy's comprehensive list of enhanced search criteria on your job listings page makes finding the perfect role even easier for your potential candidates. Candidates can search for roles using job title keywords, the job category, postcode and radius, employment type, job type, remote status and salary range, ensuring they have the resources they need to quickly and effectively find the job listings that matter most to them.
