Subsidiaries (Child Accounts)

Modified on Mon, 6 Oct at 12:06 PM

In Occy, you have the ability to add child companies, which sit under the parent company; these are called subsidiaries. This feature allows you to manage and organise subsidiary entities within one system.

Admin users of the parent company can view the data within the subsidiary account. Conversely, users affiliated with the subsidiary company are restricted to viewing only the dashboard of the parent company, with no access to specific data points.

This article will walk you through adding a subsidiary company and adding a child account user.

Adding a Subsidiary Company

  • In your occy dashboard, select Settings from the left menu, followed by Company, then Subsidiaries
  • Here you will see your list of active companies, including which is the 'parent' company
  • Click +Add Company to create a new subsidiary company

  • Alternatively, click the dropdown arrow next to the company name in the top left-hand corner of the screen, select Switch Company, then Add Company.

  •  Enter the company name, contact number, and career site URL, and click Add.

  • The company will now show in the Active Companies list.
  • You can edit and mark any company as inactive in your list, using the three dots icon found to the right of each company.

Adding Users to a Subsidiary Company

To add team members to a subsidiary company, you will need to add them to the parent company using the Child Account account type. For more information on adding users, click this link: Adding your hiring team.

Once the user has been added and they have activated their account, the admin user will need to add them to the relevant subsidiary account using the following steps.

  1. In the parent account, open Settings>Company>User Management
  2. Find the relevant user and click the three dots icon to the right
  3. Select Add company

  • In the window, select the child company and the role the user needs for the child company
  • Then click Add

Switching Between Companies

Users assigned to multiple companies can switch between companies from two areas.

  1. From Settings>Company>Subsidiaries by clicking the Switch Account button next to the company the user would like to sign in to.

2. By clicking the dropdown arrow next to the company name in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

Showing Subsidiary Company Jobs on a Parent Company Careers Page

To give your adverts maximum exposure, occy allows users to advertise jobs from the subsidiary companies on the main company careers page. Follow the steps below to find out how.

  • From the main account, open Settings>Company>Career Site
  • In the Settings tab, scroll down to the Subsidiaries section
  • Tick the Show Jobs from Subsidiaries box and select the subsidiary company from the dropdown list below the box.
